Tokom sezone 2016/17 Introdans puni 45 godina. Trupa obeležava jubilej u velikom stilu, programom “TUTTI”, u kome će oba ansambla ove kompanije izvesti premijere poznatih koreografa. Flamansko-marokanski koreograf, Sidi Larbi Šerkauji, Italijan Mauro Bigonceti i Grk Dimitris Papajoanu daju svoj lični, posve individualni pečat umetnosti savremene igre. U ovom programu, oni predstavljaju spokojnu lepotu, u vrtlogu stratsvene, sirove igre.

In the 2016/17 season Introdans will have been around for 45 years. So the company is celebrating this in grand style with “TUTTI”, a programme in which both Introdans ensembles dance no less than three premieres by internationally celebrated choreographers. Flemish-Moroccan Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Italian Mauro Bigonzetti and Greek Dimitris Papaioannou each give their own, highly individual twist to contemporary dance art. In this program, they present serene beauty alongside passionate, earthy dance.

Ovim meditativnim delom, u formi omaža svojim precima, Šerkauji ispituje vezu između stvarnosti i sećanja. U imaginarnom podzemnom svetu, igrači istražuju magnetne i polarizujuće sile, poput nežnosti i agresije, privlačnosti i odbojnosti, sve do hipnotišućeg efekta.

In this meditative work, which is a homage to his ancestors, Cherkaoui examines the connection between reality and memory. In an imaginary underworld the dancers explore magnetic and polarising forces such as gentleness and aggression, attraction and repulsion, all to mesmerising effect.

 

Kao dete, flamansko-marokanski koreograf, Sidi Larbi Šerkauji (Antverp, 1976) je želeo da slika svet oko sebe. Međutim, kada su dve dimenzije, koje su olovka i papir dozvoljavale, počele da ga sputavaju - inspirisan Majkl Džeksonom - počeo je da igra. Tako je za kratko vreme dospeo u razne pozorišne i televizijske programe, a onda odlučio da svoje obrazovanje u oblasti igre, proširi u školi P.A.R.T.S, čuvene flamanske koreografkinje Ane Tereze De Kirsmaker, u Briselu. Upravo tamo je došao u kontakt sa radovima velikih majstora poput Vilijama Forsajta, Pine Bauš i Triše Braun, ali i različitim stilovima ulične igre. Godine 1995, u Gentu dobija Nagradu za najbolji solo, koji je kreirao na inicijativu Alena Platela. Savremeni mjuzikl Endrjua Vejla “Anonimno društvo”, nastao 1999. godine, jeste njegov koreografski debi, koji je odmah poneo nekoliko međunarodnih priznanja. Već naredne godine, na BITEF-u dobija nagradu za komad “Rien de Rien”, nastao za trupu Les Ballets C de la B.  Nakon toga slede brojni uspesi, ali i Nagrada Nižinski, nemačka Kairos nagrada, Nagrada Sera Lorensa Olivijea (zajedno sa kolegom Damjenom Žaleom), nagrada Benois de la Danse, i druge. Titulu Mladog umetnika u interkulturalnom dijalogu između arapskih i zapadnih zemalja, dodelio mu je UNESCO, 2011. godine. Šerkauji je kreirao za mnoge poznate kompanije i teatre, među kojima su Balet Monte Karla, Veliki ženevski teatar, švedski Kulberg balet, Kraljevski danski balet, De Munt u Briselu, Sadlers Vels u Londonu... Trenutno, on najviše stvara za svoju kompaniju Eastman, sa kojom je dostigao uspehe svetskih razmera. Treba dodati da je nedavno radio koreografiju za film Džoa Vrajta “Ana Karenjina”, u kome igraju Kira Najtli i Džud Lo, ali i sarađivao sa Damijenom Žaleom i Marinom Abramović na postavci “Bolera” za Balet pariske Opere. Od 2015. godine, Šerkauji je na poziciji umetničkog direktora Kraljevskog flamanskog baleta.

As a child, the Flemish-Moroccan Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (Antwerp, 1976) wanted to draw the real world. But when the two dimensions of pen and paper no longer sufficed he began – inspired by Michael Jackson – to dance. For a short while he appeared as a dancer in variety shows and television programmes. After this he chose to study at P.A.R.T.S, the dance education school of the famous Flemish choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker in Brussels. There he came in contact both with the work of grand masters such as William Forsythe, Pina Bausch and Trisha Brown and with urban dance styles. In 1995 he won the Prize for the best dance solo in Ghent, created on the initiative of the choreographer Alain Platel. In 1999 Cherkaoui made his first choreography “Anonymous Society”, and immediately won various international awards. In 2000, he received Special Prize at the BITEF Festival in Belgrade for “Rien de Rien”, his first creation for Les Ballets C de la B.  He has won numerous important international dance awards, including the Prix Nijinsky, German Kairos Prize, Sir Laurence Olivier Award (together with his colleague Damien Jalet) and the Benois de la Danse award (the ‘Dance Oscar’). In 2011, UNESCO honoured him as a Young Artist for Intercultural Dialogue between Arab and Western Worlds. Cherkaoui has worked for many renowned dance companies and theatres, including Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Swedish Cullberg Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet, De Munt in Brussels, Sadler’s Wells in London. Currently he makes most of his productions for his own company Eastman, with which he is achieving worldwide success. Moreover he recently provided the choreography for “Anna Karenina”, film directed by Joe Wright and starring Keira Knightley and Jude Law, and co-created “Bolero” with Damien Jalet and Marina Abramović, for the Ballet of the Paris Opera. In 2015, Cherkaoui assumed the role of artistic director at the Royal Ballet of Flanders.

Sirovi, strastveni, „moćni komad“, u kome koreograf oživljava različite likove iz italijanske provincije. Možda su to poslednji sati svadbenog slavlja, dok u vazduhu lebde naklonost i ljubav, ili se ponekad stavovi sučeljavaju istovremeno verbalno i fizički. U ovom radu – koji može računati na ovacije publike – Bigonceti pokazuje svoj nesvakidašnji talenat za velike ansamble, dok kombinuje tardicionalne i savremene stilove, na potpuno prirodan način.

 A raw, passionate ‘power piece’ in which choreographer brings to life various characters in an Italian village. Maybe it’s during the closing hours of a wedding party: there’s affection and love in the air, but sometimes standpoints clash both verbally and physically. In this work– which can count on standing ovations – Bigonzetti shows his special talent for large ensembles of dancers and mixes traditional and contemporary styles in a totally natural manner.

Rođen u Rimu, Mauro Bigonceti je svoje igračko obrazovanje stekao u Baletskoj školi Opere u Rimu, a kasnije svoj prvi angažman dobio u Baletu rimske Opere (1979). Godine 1983, prelazi u Aterbaleto, savremenu plesnu kompaniju iz Ređo Emilije, gde se susreo sa radovima Elvina Ejlija, Glena Tetlija, Vilijama Forsajta i Dženifer Miler, ali i repertoarom Balanšina i Masina. Bigoncetijev prvi komad bio je “Sei in movimento”, postavljen na muziku J. S. Baha, i kreiran za Aterbaleto, 1990. godine. Nakon samo dve godine, on napušta ovu trupu i karijeru igrača zamenjuje statusom slobodnog koreografa. Najvažniju saradnju tokom narednog perioda, ostvaruje sa Baletom Toskane, da bi se 1997. godine vratio u Aterbaleto na poziciju umetničkog direktora, koju je zadržao do 2008. godine. Pored brojnih naslova nastalih za ovu trupu, Bigonceti je kreirao za mnoge poznate kompanije i teatre, uključujući Engleski nacionalni balet, Nacionalni balet Marseja, Štutgart balet, Državni balet Berlina, Državni balet Drezdena, Balè da Cidade iz Sao Paola, Njujork siti balet, Veliki kanadski balet iz Montreala,  Balet rimske Opere, Elvin Ejli kompaniju… Od 2016. godine, Bigonceti je na poziciji direktora Baleta Teatra milanske Skale. 

Born in Rome, Mauro Bigonzetti has received his dance training at the Ballet School of Opera in Rome, and latter entered the Ballet Company of Opera in Rome (1979). In 1983, he joined Aterballetto, a contemporary dance company based in Reggio Emilia, where he had a chance to collaborate with Alvin Ailey, Glen Tetley, William Forsythe and Jennifer Muller. His repertoire also included works by Balanchine and Massine. Bigonzetti's first piece “Sei in movimento” set on music by J. S. Bach, was created for Alterballetto in 1990. In 1993, he left the company to start his career as a freelance choreographer. His most important relationship during the following years was with Balletto di Toscana where he served as Resident Choreographer. In 1997, he returned to Alteballetto as Artistic Director, a position he held until 2008. Beside creating for Aterballetto, Bigonzetti has worked for many renowned dance companies and theatres, including English National Ballet, National Ballet Marseille, Stuttgart Ballet, Berlin State Ballet,  Dresden State Ballet, Balè da Cidade in Sao Paulo, New York City Ballet, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens,  Ballet of Opera in Rome, Alvin Ailey Dance Company… From 2016, he is director of the Ballet Company at La Scala Theater in Milan.

Iako je grčki reditelj, koreograf i vizuelni umetnik Dimitris Papajoanu izgradio izuzetnu međunarodnu reputaciju, ni jedan od njegovih radova nije predstavljen u holandskim teatrima do sada. Ono što čini njegov rukopis posve posebnim, jeste sposobnost da kreira čistu magiju sa minimalnim sredstvima. Kratka, ali impresivna scena u ovoj produkciji, savršena je ilustracija: dugi niz igrača otkriva se i svlači u paru, dok ruke ansambla formiraju očaravajuće ustalasalo more.

Although the Greek director, choreographer and visual artist Dimitris Papaioannou has built a huge international reputation, none of his works have been presented in Dutch theatres until now. And, what makes his work so special, is his ability to create pure magic with minimum means. A short but impressive scene in this production illustrates this perfectly: a long line of dancers enclose and undress a pair, as the arms of the ensemble form an enchanting, constantly undulating sea.

Sa čvrstim korenima u likovnoj umetnosti, Dimitris Papajoanu je rano postao poznat kao strip crtač i slikar, da bi kasnije svoju pažnju usmerio ka scenskim umetnostima kao direktor, koreograf, izvođač i dizajner scenografije, kostima i svetla. Pokretač njegovog rada bio je Plesni teatar Edafos, grupa koja je postojala 17 godina i ostavila neizbrisiv trag na grčkoj umetničkoj sceni. Postao je slavan kao kreator ceremonije Olimpijskih igara u Atini, 2004. godine. Od 1986. posvetio se kreiranju intenzivno vizuelnih, originalnih radova – hibrida eksperimentalne igre, fizičkog teatra i scenske umetnosti.

Rooted firmly in the fine arts, Dimitris Papaioannou gained early recognition as a comics artist and painter, before turning his attention to the performing arts as a director, choreographer, performer, and designer of sets, costumes and lighting. The first vehicle for his stage work was Edafos Dance Theatre, a group that spanned 17 years until 2002 and left an indelible mark on the Greek arts scene. He became more widely known as the creator of the Athens 2004 Olympic Ceremonies. Since 1986, he has dedicated himself to creating intensely visual original works a hybrid of experimental dance, physical theatre and performance art.

Od 1971 godine, Introdans zasenjuje publiku igrom. Ne postoji ni jedna kompanija na svetu koja se može pohvaliti toliko različitim i bogatim repertoarom, kao što je to Introdans. Od osnivanja trupe, misija je ostala nepromenjena: pridobiti najširu publiku za umetničku igru. To postižu prikazivanjem atraktivnih produkcija za mlade i stare, koje izvode igrači svetske klase. Introdans donosi publici najbolje i najzanimljivije komade svetski poznatih koreografa, poput Roberta Batla, Sidija Larbija Šerkaujia, Lusinde Čajlds, Nilsa Kristija, Nača Duata, Jiržija Kilijana, Hansa van Manena, Elvina Nikolajsa, Kajetana Sota, i mnogih drugih. Energija predstava nailazi na nagrade i priznanja, podjednako u Holandiji i svetu. Zapravo, Introdans je jedan od najznačajnijih izvoznih proizvoda u kulturnom sektoru. Trupa putuje svetom, od Amerike do Azije, i od Švedske do Južne Afrike. Tokom proteklih deset godina, Introdans je posetio preko trideset zemalja, stalno nastupajući u Indoneziji, Kini, Južnoj Africi, Švajcarskoj i Velikoj Britaniji. Najprestižniji nastupi, pored predstava tokom kraljevskih državnih poseta, bili su na Novoj sceni Boljšoj teatra u Moskvi, u New Victory teatru na Brodveju, kao i na festivalu Fall for Dance u Njujorku. Tokom manje od četiri godine, Introdans takođe beleži ‘recipročne kulturne događaje’ koji su podrazumevali tri predstave tokom zvaničnih poseta Nj.K.V. Beatrise od Holandije.

Since 1971 Introdans has been dazzling audiences with dance. There is no other company in the world with such a varied and rich dance offering as Introdans. Ever since Introdans was founded its mission has remained unchanged: to get a wide public enthusiastic about dance art. They do this by presenting attractive productions for young and old, performed by world-class dancers. Introdans brings audiences the best, most attractive and most moving works from half a century of dance. Their concept is simple: to showcase pieces by world-famous choreographers as well as creations by up-and-coming choreographic talent. These names include Robert Battle, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Lucinda Childs, Nils Christe, Nacho Duato, Jirí Kylián, José Limón, Hans van Manen, Alwin Nikolais, Cayetono Soto and many more. The energy of performances has met with praise and recognition in the Netherlands, and all over the world. In fact, Introdans is one of the Netherlands’ most important exports in the cultural sector. The company travels the world: from America to Asia and from Sweden to South Africa. In ten years Introdans has visited over thirty countries, regularly performing in Indonesia, China, South Africa, Switzerland and United Kingdom. The most prestigious appearances – besides performances during royal state visits – were the performances at the Bolshoi New Stage Theatre in Moscow, the New Victory Theater on Broadway and the Fall for Dance Festival in New York. In less than four years Introdans also supplied the ‘reciprocalcultural performance’ three times during state visits by former Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands.
